Committed to showcasing the very best of independent short film, the Norwich film festival returns this November and will again be providing an exciting platform for creative, high quality short films from both local and international filmmakers.
Following on from the release of a UK Green Film Festival exclusive wine in 2016, we are again delighted to be a sponsor for our second film event, and we have hand selected one of our award-winning Proseccos for the opening ceremony
History
In 2009 Kellen Playford founded
Norwich Film Festival after hearing about the difficulties a friend was having trying to organise a local screening of a short film. The festival was re-launched in 2012 as an annual event and has since screened hundreds of fantastic short films in Norwich; while helping to promote and support filmmakers. In 2015 Craig Higgins became co-director of Norwich Film Festival and has been working alongside the team to evolve the festival further.
The festival continues to grow in strength and reputation and has attracted support from industry talent such as Olivia Colman (Broadchurch, London Road, Tyrannosaur, The Iron Lady), Stephen Fry (Wilde, V for Vendetta, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, Blackadder, Kingdom, QI), Tim McInnerney (Blackadder, Notting Hill, Johnny English Reborn), Julian Jarrold (Kinky Boots, Becoming Jane) and John Collee (Happy Feet, Creation, Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World).
The 8th Norwich Film Festival will be returning from the 7th - 19th November.
