Buying Assistant

Broadland Drinks Ltd (BDL) are looking for a Buying Assistant to join our Procurement team to provide administrative support with assist its retailer customers, Broadland Drinks are entering an exciting phase of innovation and brand launches. This job offers an excellent opportunity to support procurement in a growing international company. 
Our vision – We aim to create drinks brands consumers love and to develop 5 – 6 Broadlands-owned brands across the USA and UK, alongside our existing successful private label business.
About the role:
Reporting to our Head of Procurement, your key responsibilities will be to:-
  • Generating product costs at the request of our Sales and Marketing team.
  • Take ownership and maintenance of the cost planning document.
  • Book in and manage samples in conjunction with the Wine Buyer.
  • Monitor and collate monthly spend and volume data. To assist in the resolution of any QC NCRs or general supplier failure points.
  • Support with monthly reporting and supplier monitoring.
  • Assist with generation of product costings within Excel spreadsheets to capture all cost elements and to assist with finalising final selling prices.
  • Liaise with suppliers, ensuring all required paperwork, due diligence and quality documents are completed and returned.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments.
About You:
You will have strong evidence of the following key skills & competencies:
  • Previous experience working within a commercial environment.
  • Previous commercial purchasing experience.
  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
  • Team player who can demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience of working to deadlines.
  • Proactive and enthusiastic, motivated, willing to learn all aspects of the business.
  • Positive and confident, with a “can do” attitude.
  • Competent and efficient Excel, Powerpoint, and other MS applications.
  • Knowledge of the wine industry would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of HMRC rules on import and export would be an advantage.

  • We will consider full-time (40 hours a week) or part-time (30 hours+)
  • Hybrid working with a minimum of 3 days at our winery in Cawston, Norfolk.
