Broadland Wineries has announced the appointment of Matthew Vowles as National Account Manager. Vowles joins from Treasury Wine Estates where he was Business Manager working on Blossom Hill, Wolf Blass, Lindeman’s and 19 Crimes. Prior to this he worked with Percy Fox, moving over when Treasury bought Blossom Hill.
He believes his branded expertise can help Broadland to push forward in this category, saying, “Broadland brands Minivino, Three Mills and Proudly Vegan are now listed by three multiple grocers. The company has real potential to be a major player in the branded wine category.”
Matthew’s appointment follows that of Liz Cobbold in April. Liz joined as Senior Brand Manager having previously held senior positions at Adnams and Tesco. She was promoted to Marketing Director with responsibility for the UK and USA in September.
Peter Bisley, Sales Director Broadland Wineries said of the appointment:
"Over the last year Broadland has achieved a significant number of retail listings for its branded products through three multiple grocers in the UK, as well as in Europe and the USA. Matt’s role will be specifically to build distribution of the brands in the UK at the same time as strengthening our branded expertise across the whole business."
