As the week ahead celebrates English Wine Week to increase awareness of the top-quality wines available closer to home, No Ordinary has introduced a No Ordinary English White, from Purleigh in Essex.
English wine has been making a mark on the industry and has seen 34% growth in the last year* with consumers increasing demand and agenda to support local, but with 80% of English vines growing only Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier**, No Ordinary wanted to offer something different.
Only 5% of English vines grow Bacchus so we found the UK’s oldest and largest Bacchus plantation where vines date back to the Middle Ages. To produce No Ordinary English White three varietals including Bacchus have been expertly blended in small batches using contemporary wine making techniques, which results in a delicate floral hedgerow aroma of blossom with white peach fruit on the palate.
English Wine Week runs from the 19th-27th June and is the perfect opportunity to learn more about homegrown wines and what England has to offer.
