Let’s Celebrate National Wine Day

Thursday 23 May 2024

If only every day could be National Wine Day! Let’s raise a glass or two to one of the most popular drinks in the UK where more than 1.1 billion litres of wine are consumed every year.
Here at Broadland Drinks, we have a 58-year history of innovation and pioneering new types of wines and packaging formats. From making fruit wines using local orchards in the 1960s, to home-brew wine kits and locally fermented British Wines in the 1970s, to UK filling of imported bulk wines into bottles and bag-in-box in the 1980s, though to cans, pouch, kegs, refill stations and paper Frugal Bottles this millennium.

Here's a small selection of hero wines from our extensive portfolio:
Our flagship Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc -  Waipapa Bay - recent winner of both a coveted IWSC bronze and LWC silver award  is about to launch in an innovative new paper wine bottle. Waipapa Bay partners with the Whale & Dolphin Conservation campaign so a donation from every bottle goes towards helping to protect Whales and Dolphins across the globe.
The Robert & Reeves on-trade wine selection is perfect for celebrating good times with great wines. Broadland Drinks created this memorable and award-winning range to bring together the UK’s favourite grape varietals from around the world under one classic wine brand. Available in 75cl and also in single serve bottles, perfect for enjoying in pubs, bars and restaurants.
Jean Bouchard produces red and white single varietal wines from across the renowned Burgundy regions. We range a selection to encompass all sub-regions, including Chablis, Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune, Côte Challonaise, and the Mâconnais. Targeted at ‘Mature Treaters’ - highly knowledgeable wine drinkers who are happy to spend on their favourites and growing by 17% yoy (BDL sales out).
Our latest launch, French Anarchy, offers a Malbec, a Sauvignon Blanc and a Rosé which have been specially blended to provide more fruit forward wines. These are suited to modern palates and provide commercial appeal whilst showcasing French wines in a fresh new way. We’re delighted that both the white and rosé have recently won an IWSC bronze award.
Convenient, lightweight and perfectly portable, popular MINIVINO is great-tasting wine on the go in a fully recyclable cup. Ideal for festivals, events, picnics, trains and planes, this unique proposition is glass-free and ready to drink. Available in Chardonnay, Merlot and Rosé.

Three Mills, the UK’s most shopped British wine brand with 25% lower carbon footprint than imported, is available in a range of ABVs starting at 0% which uses up to 5x less energy than de-alcoholised alternatives. Also available seasonally, Three Mills Mulled Wine offers innovative and traditional flavours using IWSC award-winning liquids.
As demonstrated, Broadland Drinks offers a comprehensive range of quality liquids to suit all budgets and tastes, in a wide choice of packaging formats so if you think we could help your business please contact
