Proudly Vegan is delighted to announce its latest award nominations:
- Prosecco: nominated in the Free From Awards and the People’s Choice Awards
- Merlot: nominated in the Free From Awards
These latest nominations add to the growing list of accolades for the range, which includes a raft of awards such as SWA Golds, LWC Silvers and IWSC Silvers and Bronzes.
Consumer interest in vegan food and drink is at an all-time high and the brand has ambitious plans for growth as we enter FY22/23. “You can’t walk down a supermarket aisle, or even visit a restaurant, without noticing the vast choice of vegan options on offer” comments Fran Draper, Marketing Director at brand owner Broadland Drinks. “As these SKUs spill out from the vegan fixtures and in store siting becomes less restricted, labelling and clear vegan signposting is going to be of the utmost importance for consumers to navigate the shelves. Awards such as these are an extra stamp of approval and show consumers that vegan wine isn’t a taste compromise.”
This news coincides with the brand’s announcement that, in addition to its Vegan Society registration, Proudly Vegan is the latest brand to be certified by Vegan Friendly, an international non-profit organisation that aims to end animal suffering and global warming by increasing the consumption of plant-based food. “This accreditation is further proof of our commitment to veganism and we look forward to working with Vegan Friendly to educate customers and consumers on the vegan wine category” adds Draper.
